Torre Mare Nostrum
Gas Natural Company building in Barcelona, Catalonia.

"Torre Mare Nostrum" was the posthumous work of the great Catalan architect Enric Miralles, Benedetta designed in conjunction with Tagliablue. Its construction was completed shortly after his death. It is currently the headquarters of Gas Natural / Union Fenosa.
It measures 88 meters in height and features a spectacular cantilevered stands on the vacuum and its volume including, depending on the angle from which you look like a completely different building. It is organized into three glass buildings assembled together. Its main feature has to do with the glass coating, made specifically to give millimetric deformation that creates images reflecting changing "that fluctuate like a gas flame"

La Torre Mare Nostrum fue la obra póstuma del genial arquitecto catalán Enric Miralles, diseñada conjuntamente con Benedetta Tagliablue. Su construcción se terminó poco después de su muerte. Actualmente es la sede de Gas Natural / Unión Fenosa.
Mide 88 metros de altura y destaca por su espectacular voladizo que se sostiene sobre el vacío y por su volumetría particular: según el ángulo desde donde se mire parece un edificio por completo distinto. Se organiza en tres edificios de cristal ensamblados entre sí. Su característica principal tiene que ver con el revestimiento de cristal, fabricado específicamente para darle una deformación milimétrica reflectante que crea imágenes cambiantes “que oscilan como si fueran una llama de gas”
